Villa K. Douwar

Perched on a 400m high rock mass in the Douwar area of the Metn region, this luxury private summer villa enjoys breathtaking views on the valley beneath and the facing green mountains. The site's difficult terrain conditions presented a real challenge for laying the foundations of the building's footprint. The design concept is a blend of contemporary architecture and noble stone materials for the facades. The concrete slabs were executed using the SBS Steel Block Slab system for the structure to enjoy large unobstructed spans within stringent deflection criteria. All exterior elevations where treated with cementitious waterproofing material prior to cladding, terraces and wet areas such as bathroom floors with rubberized liquid polyurethane for effective watertightness.The project was designed, executed and delivered on a turnkey basis.
